• nextnano³ - (Fortran 2003 code)
  
  The nextnano³ code has been developed at the Walter Schottky Institut (group of Prof. Dr. Peter Vogl) of the Technische Universität München during the years 1999-2010.
  
  The software is now distributed, supported and maintained by the nextnano company which has been founded by Stefan Birner. Stefan has been working with the nextnano code at the Walter Schottky Institut since 2001.

• nextnano++ - (C++ code)
  
  The Walter Schottky Institut (group of Prof. Dr. Peter Vogl) is now working on the new nextnano++ software. This new code has been developed during the years 2004-2010. It is the successor of the nextnano³ code.
